Find a project that fits
Browse requests from local teams, schools and nonprofits. We review every one before it is listed, and each comes with a budget and the quotes behind it.
- 2
Pledge what you want to give
Fund the whole thing or part of it, starting at $500. A 2% platform fee is paid by card when you pledge, and we arrange the contribution with you directly.
- 3
We get it where it is going
Your contribution goes toward the project's funding goal. That goal covers the project itself, plus contingency and program costs.
- 4
Watch it happen
The organization posts milestones, photos and receipts as the work gets done. You get an impact report you can share with your team.
For companies
What is Direct Impactus?
Direct Impactus connects companies with local projects from teams, schools and nonprofits that we have reviewed, then shows you what your money did. Each project is a specific need with a budget behind it: a team's new jerseys, a pantry's freezer, a classroom's instruments.
How does a company fund a project?
Browse the project marketplace and open a project to see its budget, timeline and who it helps. Pledge from $500 up to what the project still needs: the whole thing or part of it. If less than $500 is left, you can pledge what remains. A 2% platform fee is paid by card when you pledge, and we arrange the contribution with you directly.
Where does our money actually go?
Toward the project you picked. Its goal is built from real quotes and invoices, plus contingency and program costs, so a fully funded project covers everything on the paperwork.
What does it cost?
Two percent, up front. Pledge $10,000 and you pay a $200 platform fee by card when you pledge. It is non-refundable, sits on top of your pledge and does not count toward the project. Your full $10,000 contribution goes toward the funding goal, which already includes contingency and program costs. Bank or wire charges on your side are yours.
How do I know a project is real?
Because we ask to see the paperwork first. Every project comes with quotes or invoices for what it costs, and we review each one before it goes live. Express interest and you can open those documents yourself.
Can several companies fund the same project?
Yes. Pledges from different companies add up toward the project's goal, and the project page shows how far along it is. A project is fully funded when its pledges reach the goal.
Can we give quietly?
Absolutely. Keep your company name, the amount, or both off the public pages, and change your mind whenever you like. The organization you fund still knows your name, because someone should get to say thank you.
Can we talk to the organization first?
Please do. Press Express Interest, add a note if you like, then message them right through the site. It's free, and your card stays in your wallet until you pledge.
What do we get to show for it?
Proof you can actually pass around. Milestones with photos and receipts as the work gets done, plus an impact report you can send to your team, your board or your customers. It beats a plaque. You can also share one report that brings together every project your company has supported.
How do we get started?
Create a company account, set up your profile and browse the marketplace. If you would rather talk it through first, book a call with Greg.
For teams, schools and nonprofits
Who can post a project?
Teams, school programs and nonprofits with a specific need they can put a price on. We review every project before it is listed.
Does it cost anything to post a project?
No. Posting is free.
How is the funding goal set?
You upload the quotes or invoices for what you need and enter the amount on each. Your funding goal is built from them plus contingency and program costs, so a fully funded project covers everything you documented.
What happens after we submit a project?
We review it. Once it is approved it is listed on the marketplace, where companies can find it, express interest, message you and pledge. You can also save a project as a draft and finish it later.
What do we do once a project is funded?
Post milestones as the work gets done, with photos and receipts. They appear on the project's impact report, which the companies that funded it can share.
