Half our runners train in worn-out sneakers or skate shoes, and shin splints are ending their seasons. Proper running shoes for all 32 would keep them on the course.

Cross country is the one sport at our school with no cut and no fee, so it draws kids who would not otherwise play anything. It does need one thing: shoes made for running. A local running store fits each runner and gives us a team price. This request buys a fitted pair for every runner and a team set of spikes for race days.
