About This Project
Our lights are halogen cans from the 1990s, half of them burnt out and all of them too hot to touch. LED fixtures would light the stage safely and teach students real board skills.

Cottonwood puts on four shows a year with casts and crews aged 9 to 18, in a 140-seat theater we rent from the city. The lighting rig is older than any of our students. Replacement lamps are getting hard to find, and the heat from the fixtures has scorched two curtains. This request replaces the rig with twenty-four LED fixtures and a lighting console. Our crew students would learn on the same kind of equipment used in professional theaters, and the electricity bill drops by about two-thirds.
