The wall belongs to a hardware store whose owner has offered it to us for ten years. Our summer program pays teenagers a stipend to learn a trade, and this year the trade is mural painting: surface prep, scaling a design, working safely on a lift, and finishing to last outdoors. Two local muralists lead the work. The design comes from the students, after a month of interviews with the people who use the bus stop every day.
